Protein Domain
Type: Domain
Description: This domain can be found in the roadblock proteins and LAMTOR2 proteins. Dynein light chain roadblock proteins (DYNLRB1 and DYNLRB2) are non-catalytic accessory components of the cytoplasmic dynein 1 complex. The dynein light chains are required for the correct assembly of the dynein complex and have been implicated in controlling its association with cargo molecules. DYNLRB1 and DYNLRB2 can also be found in the dynein-2 complex [].LAMTOR2 is part of the ragulator complex involved in amino acid sensing and activation of mTORC1, a signalling complex promoting cell growth in response to growth factors, energy levels, and amino acids [, ].
