Alpha-catulin 1 (also known as catenin alpha-like protein 1, CTNNAL1) belongs to the alpha catenin family, whose members are involved in cell adhesion. CTNNAL1 may modulate Rho pathway signalling by providing a scaffold for the Lbc Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor []. It is downregulated in asthma patients and animal models [].
