TNFAIP3-interacting protein 3 (TNIP3), also known as ABIN3, negatively regulates NF-kB activation in response to a wide range of proinflammatory stimuli, including lipopolysaccharide (LPS), tumor necrosis factor (TNF), and interleukin-1 (IL-1) [, ]. ABIN3 binds NF-kB inhibitor protein A20 (TNFAIP3), though the functional role of this interaction is not clear. ABIN-3 expression is NF-kappaB dependent; therefore ABIN-3 is considered as a negative feedback regulator of NF-kappa B signaling [].
