Cullin-9, also known as PARC, is a core component of a Cul9-RING ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, a complex that mediates ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of survivin (BIRC5), an inhibitor of apoptosis protein. It is a critical downstream effector of the 3M complex (consisting of CUL7, OBSL1 and CCDC8) in the maintenance of microtubules and genome integrity []. It also regulates the subcellular localisation of p53/TP53 and subsequent function [, ].
