Dynactin is a complex that binds to cytoplasmic dynein and is a required activator for cytoplasmic dynein-mediated vesicular transport. Dynactin localises to the cleavage furrow and to the midbodies of dividing cells, suggesting that it may function in cytokinesis [, ].
