Sodium channel and clathrin linker 1 (SCLT1/CAP-1A) is an adapter protein that links clathrin and sodium channel Na(v)1.8. It may regulate Na(v)1.8 channel density at the cell surface []. SCLT1 is a component of the distal appendages (DAPs) of centrioles, which are thought to anchor cilia to the plasma membrane []. SCLT1 mutations are associated with the ciliopathy known as oral-facial-digital syndrome (OFD) [, ]. |
