PCBP4, also known as MCG10, is a poly(C)-binding protein and is a target of p53 tumour suppressor. It regulates both basal and stress-induced p21 expression through binding p21 3'-UTR and modulates p21 mRNA stability []. It can induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in G(2)-M [].
