Membrane-associated guanylate kinase, WW and PDZ domain-containing protein 2 (MAGI2) is a scaffold protein that recruits various proteins via its PDZ domains at cell-cell junctions. The interaction between delta2 glutamate receptor and MAGI2 may be important for intracellular trafficking of the receptor []. MAGI2 regulates the PTEN signalling through the assembly of a multiprotein complex at the cell membrane []. It is one of the binding partners for the oncoprotein E6 of the HPVs (high-risk type human papillomaviruses) [].
