It associates with F-actin and is involved in regulating the cytoskeletal organisation and architecture of endothelial cells []. In the retinal pigment epithelium, it regulates the biogenesis of melanosomes and promotes their association with the apical cell surface by inducing gamma-tubulin redistribution [].
