They are cytosolic proteins highly expressed throughout brain development [].Dihydropyrimidinase-related protein 1, also known as collapsin response mediator protein 1 (CRMP1) or ULIP3, interacts with semaphorin3A in the dendritic and synaptic development of the cortical neurons [, ]. Both CRMP1 and CRMP2 contribute to cytoskeletal reorganisation in the axonal pathfinding process [].
