Phosphorylation of eIF2alpha results in general protein synthesis repression and increased translation of specific mRNAs. Protein ILITYHIA from Arabidopsis is involved in immunity against bacterial infection and in non-host resistance []and is required for the bacterium-triggered stomatal closure response []. |
