There are four PDGF isoforms: PDGF-A, -B, -C, which form homodimers or heterodimers (PDGF-AA, -BB, -AB, -CC, and -DD).This entry presents PDGFD, which plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. PDGFD induces macrophage recruitment, increased interstitial pressure, and blood vessel maturation during angiogenesis [, ].
