abstractText  The proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA/cyclin) is described as a nuclear protein and plays a key role in the initiation of cellular DNA synthesis and regulation of cell cycle progression. Using in situ hybridization, the human PCNA gene is localized on chromosome 20 at or close to 20p12.
