Primary Identifier | MGI:2447408 | Allele Type | Transgenic |
Attribute String | Inserted expressed sequence | Gene | Tg(Trp53A135V)L3Ber |
Strain of Origin | CD-1 | Is Recombinase | false |
Is Wild Type | false |
description | Additional lines L1 and L2 were produced. Homozygous transgenic mice are viable and fertile, but show a high incidence of tumors, particularly lung adenocarcinomas, osteosarcomas, and lymphomas. |
molecularNote | The transgene contains the mouse transformation related protein 53 promoter and an allele of the mouse Trp53 gene that carries a point mutation in codon 135 (GCG to GTG), resulting in an alanine to valine substitution. The Trp53 promoter drove high levels of transgenic expression in the spleen, thymus, and lymph nodes. Transgenic expression was also reported in the ovaries. Little or no expression was reported to have been observed in the liver and lungs of these mice. |
