abstractText  The acetylcholine receptor (AChR) is an ion channel involved in signal transmission from motorneuron to skeletal muscle. We describe here a murine-specific splicing variant of the epsilon subunit of the AChR (epsilon s), which lacks exon 5 epsilon s has a truncated extracellular domain which may affect the physiological characteristics of the resulting AChR channel.
