Allele : Lztr1<tm1b(EUCOMM)Wtsi> leucine-zipper-like transcriptional regulator, 1; targeted mutation 1b, Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute

Primary Identifier  MGI:7281479 Allele Type  Targeted
Attribute String  Null/knockout, Reporter Gene  Lztr1
Transmission  Germline Strain of Origin  C57BL/6N
Is Recombinase  false Is Wild Type  false
Project Collection  EUCOMM
molecularNote  The L1L2_Bact_P cassette was inserted at position 17335891 of Chromosome 16 upstream of the critical exon 7 (Build GRCm39). The cassette is composed of an FRT site followed by lacZ sequence and a loxP site. This first loxP site is followed by a neomycin resistance gene under the control of the human beta-actin promoter, SV40 polyA, a second FRT site and a second loxP site. A third loxP site is inserted downstream of the targeted exon 7 at position 17336675. The critical exon 7 is thus flanked by loxP sites. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neomycin resistance gene and exon 7, generating a reporter knockout mouse. Further information on targeting strategies used for this and other IKMC alleles can be found at http://www.informatics.jax.org/mgihome/nomen/IKMC_schematics.shtml.
