Protein Coding Gene : Cd69 CD69 antigen

Primary Identifier  MGI:88343 Organism  mouse, laboratory
Chromosome  6 NCBI Gene Number  12515
Mgi Type  protein coding gene
description  FUNCTION: Automated description from the Alliance of Genome Resources (Release 7.1.0)

Predicted to enable calcium ion binding activity and identical protein binding activity. Involved in cellular response to xenobiotic stimulus. Located in external side of plasma membrane. Orthologous to human CD69 (CD69 molecule).
PHENOTYPE: Homozygous mutation of this gene results in slightly increased pre-B and immature B cell numbers in the bone marrow, and increased IgG2a and IgM response to T cell-dependent and T cell-independent antigens. Mutant mice were less prone to collagen inducedarthritis. [provided by MGI curators]
