Is expressed in several structures, including adrenal medulla; alimentary system; cranial nerve; ganglia; and genitourinary system. Orthologous to human GFRA3 (GDNF family receptor alpha 3).
PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for disruption of this gene display ptosis and poor development of the sympathetic chain ganglia and associated nerves. [provided by MGI curators]
