| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: New Mutants: 2. Nuclear cataract (nuc). This new recessive eye mutation occurred in strain 129/Sv-ter. Most homozygotes can be identified at 3 to 4 weeks of age by the presence of a white area in the center of the lens. The cataracts are bilateral and do not affect the cortex of the lens. The eye appears to be of normal size. The mutation resembles, but is not allelic to, vacuolated lens and blind sterile. Linkage tests are in progress. (Varnum) |
