Protein Coding Gene : Pagr1a PAXIP1 associated glutamate rich protein 1A

Primary Identifier  MGI:1914528 Organism  mouse, laboratory
Chromosome  7 NCBI Gene Number  67278
Mgi Type  protein coding gene
description  FUNCTION: Automated description from the Alliance of Genome Resources (Release 7.0.0)

Predicted to enable nuclear estrogen receptor binding activity. Involved in DNA damage response; positive regulation of isotype switching to IgG isotypes; and regulation of cell cycle G2/M phase transition. Acts upstream of or within chorion development. Part of histone methyltransferase complex. Is expressed in several structures, including extraembryonic component. Orthologous to human PAGR1 (PAXIP1 associated glutamate rich protein 1).
PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele fail to undergo axial rotation and show abnormal embryonic and extraembryonic tissue development, defects in amnion, chorion and visceral yolk sac morphology, abnormal rostral-caudal body axis extension, growth arrest, and complete embryonic lethality.
