abstractText  Midkine (MDK) is a retinoic acid-responsive gene concerned with prenatal development and neurite growth. We mapped the gene to band p11.2 of chromosome 11 through fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis and using a 4.5-kb fragment of its human genomic DNA.
