Protein Coding Gene : Pdia4 protein disulfide isomerase associated 4

Primary Identifier  MGI:104864 Organism  mouse, laboratory
Chromosome  6 NCBI Gene Number  12304
Mgi Type  protein coding gene
description  FUNCTION: Automated description from the Alliance of Genome Resources (Release 7.1.0)

Enables integrin binding activity and protein disulfide isomerase activity. Acts upstream of or within blood coagulation, fibrin clot formation and platelet aggregation. Located in cell surface and endoplasmic reticulum. Part of endoplasmic reticulum chaperone complex. Is expressed in embryo; heart; medulla oblongata basal plate; olfactory cortex ventricular layer; and telencephalon ventricular layer. Orthologous to human PDIA4 (protein disulfide isomerase family A member 4).
PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a conditional allele activated in platelets exhibit decreased platelet aggregation and increased bleeding time. [provided by MGI curators]
