Is expressed in several structures, including adrenal gland; alimentary system; central nervous system; hemolymphoid system; and liver. Orthologous to human LPCAT3 (lysophosphatidylcholine acyltransferase 3). PHENOTYPE: Nullizygous mice show low blood glucose levels and postnatal death. Intestine-specific knockouts fail to thrive and show enterocyte lipid accumulation and low plasma triglycerides (TGs).
