| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 2. A repeat or allele of ru-2, ru-2<r >. This arose spontaneously in our BL/10 strain. Fur color of homozygotes resembles ru-2/ru-2, tp/tp, and p<x>/p<x>. Crosses to the latter two, however, yielded only wild-type, while crosses to ru-2/ru-2 produced only the mutant type. It is possible that ru-2<r>/ru-2<r> animals have slightly lighter eyes at birth than do ru-2/ru-2, but the difference may be due to genetic background. (Elizabeth Kelly) |
