| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Research news: (iv) Matted (symbol ma). Spontaneous autosomal mutant in CBA/Gr stock. Recessive, fully penetrant, viable and fertile in both sexes. Identifiable when about four weeks old by aspect of coat, especially of back and flanks. Fur does not lie flat against skin when stroked from head to tail. Group of hairs become matted at tips to form clumps. These can be temporarily unmatted by brushing. Breaking of the hairs leads to variable degree of baldness. (A.G. Searle and R Spearman). |
