abstractText  The TSPY genes are arranged in clusters on the Y chromosome of many mammalian species. TSPY is believed to function in early spermatogenesis and is a candidate for GBY, the putative gonadoblastoma- inducing gene on the Y. The TSPY family forms part of a superfamily, TTSN, with autosomal representatives, highly conserved in mammals and beyond.
