| abstractText | Peritoneal exudate macrophages from C3H/OuJ (Lpsn) and C3H/HeJ (Lpsd) mice were treated with interferon alpha (IFN-alpha), and isotype-specific phagocytosis and gene expression were measured. IFN-alpha selectively augments phagocytosis of IgG2a, with a highly significant induction of Fc gamma RI mRNA expression, while parallel Fc gamma RIII alpha measurements show a relatively small increase. |
