| abstractText | Muskelin is a novel intracellular protein, identified in mouse cells, that acts as a mediator of cell spreading and cytoskeletal responses to the extracellular matrix component thrombospondin-1. We report that human muskelin is 98% identical with mouse muskelin at the amino acid level. The human muskelin gene is located at 7q32.
