| description | Basic leucine zipper transcriptional factor ATF-like 2 (BATF2, also known as SARI) belongs to the activator protein 1 (AP-1) family of transcription factors. BATF2 selectively suppresses CYR61/CCN1 transcription and hence blocks the downstream cell proliferation signals produced by CYR61.
