abstractText  The murine sterol carrier protein 2 gene (Scp2) has been mapped to chromosome 4C5-->D1 by in situ hybridization. This location is syntenic with the locus of SCP2 on human chromosome 1p32. We found the overall structure of murine Scp2 to be identical to that of the human SCP2 gene. In addition, two Scp2 pseudogenes have been isolated and mapped to chromosomes 3H2-->4 and 9F.
