abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: L.C. Stevens. New mutation: A mutation has occurred in a strain 129/Sv mouse which is sex-linked, an allele of Tabby, and will be designated Taj. Phenotypically the only difference between Taj and Ta thus far observed is that Taj males and TajTaj females do not have hairless tails as do Ta males and TaTa females. They have fewer hairs on the tail than normal, and the hairs are curved. TaTaj females have hairless areas and areas of curved hairs on their tails as would be expected on the basis of the inactive-X theory of Lyon. |
