Protein Coding Gene : Entpd7 ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 7

Primary Identifier  MGI:2135885 Organism  mouse, laboratory
Chromosome  19 NCBI Gene Number  93685
Mgi Type  protein coding gene
description  FUNCTION: Automated description from the Alliance of Genome Resources (Release 7.1.0)

Enables ribonucleoside triphosphate phosphatase activity. Involved in T-helper 17 cell differentiation and regulation of immune response. Predicted to be located in cytoplasmic vesicle membrane and nucleus. Predicted to be active in Golgi apparatus and membrane. Orthologous to human ENTPD7 (ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 7).
PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for deletions in this gene have increased Th17 T cell levels in the lamina propria of the small intestine. They show increased resistance to Citrobacter rodentium infection and increased susceptibility to experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis. [provided by MGI curators]
