Allele : Sirpa<tm1Nog> signal-regulatory protein alpha; targeted mutation 1, Tetsuya Noguchi

Primary Identifier  MGI:2388979 Allele Type  Targeted
Attribute String  Null/knockout Gene  Sirpa
Transmission  Germline Strain of Origin  129P2/OlaHsd
Is Recombinase  false Is Wild Type  false
molecularNote  Exons 7 and 8 were replaced by a neomycin selection cassette inserted by homologous recombination. The deleted region encoded the majority of the cytoplasmic region. A low level of production of a truncated protein was identified by expression analyses of brain tissue and peritoneal macrophages. Biochemical assays showed that the mutant protein did not undergo tyrosine phosphorylation nor did it associate with Hcph.
