abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: New Mutations: Cerebellum ataxia, provisional symbol cx, a neurological fully recessive autosomal mutation was found in progeny of (C3HA x C3H>f< ) F1 male mouse treated by diethysulphate (36 mg/kg in 6 portions by 6 mg/kg a week starting from birth day). The male was mated with a CBA female on the 9th week after the last injection. Thus the mutation arose from a mutagen treated type A spermatogonium. cx/cx genotype is postnatal lethal. The affected mice develop slowly and die aging 1.5 to 2 months. Young cx/cx mice suffer from staggering gate, ataxia, low mobility and cerebellum injuries which can be detected by 12 to 15 days of age. (Malashenko) |
