Calretinin (CR) is a calcium-binding protein that contains the EF-hand domains. It is expressed in a variety of normal and tumorigenic tissues []. CR is a multi-functional protein associated with development, cell proliferation, differentiation, and cell death []. It may be used as a marker in the differential diagnosis of ameloblastoma and keratocystic odontogenic tumour (KCOT) [, ].
