Rab11 family-interacting protein 3 (Rab11-FIP3) is a dual effector of Rab11 and Arf6 and exhibits Rab11-dependent localisation to recycling endosomes in interphase []and controls membrane traffic in cytokinesis [, ]. Rab11-FIP3 has been found to bind dynein light intermediate chain 1 and 2 (DLIC-1/2). The recruitment of DLIC-2 onto membranes by RAB11FIP3 is necessary for the accumulation of endocytosed-transferrin (Tfn) at the pericentrosomal endosomal-recycling compartment (ERC) []. Rab11-FIP3 may also play a role in breast cancer cell motility by regulating actin cytoskeleton [].
