KLF5 is a zinc-finger transcription factor promoting cell proliferation, cell-cycle progression and survival []. It regulates transcription of a number of genes, such as the platelet-derived growth factor-alpha (PDGF-alpha), CyclinD1, Pim1 and PPARgamma []. It has been implicated in pathways critical to carcinogenesis []. |
