Bright chains of closely opposed expressing cells were observed extending from the outer surface of the outer nuclear layer through to the expanding inner nuclear layer in the central region of the retina. The domain of high DCC mRNA expression in the inner nuclear layer had expanded towards the periphery in a decreasing gradient. The region of expression was more extensive in the temporal side of the developing retina compared to the nasal region. |
