NTCP also transports various non-bile acid organic compounds, including steroidal hormones such as estrone-3-sulfate and dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEAS), bromosulphthalein and a variety of xenobiotics []. It also mediates transport of (sulfated) iodothyronines []. |
