| abstractText | Nucleic acid sequence, protein sequence, InterPro domain and gene links are determined through collaboration of the MGI and SWISS-PROT databases. A joint curation effort matches nucleotides with their protein products and staff at both databases regularly communicate to update and correct sequence to gene matches. Sequence to gene links are routinely downloaded to MGI. InterPro data is downloaded to MGI via its association with SWISS-PROT protein sequences.
