PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a null allele show prenatal loss, stunted growth, dilated alveoli and lower postweaning survival. Homozygotes for another null allele show additional defects in placenta, eye, phalanx and tarsus morphology. Homozygotes for a gene trapallele show altered retinal axon guidance.
