| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: 3. X-linked muscular dystrophy. mdx has now been more accurately positioned on the X-chromosome. Backcrosses between A+/+mds females and +mdx/Y males (A = Hq or Mo*blo) gave the following phenotypic numbers: MO + 86, + mdx 124, Mo mdx 6, ++ 16; Hq + 65, +mdx 107, Hq mdx 15, ++ 18. This gives the order: centromere - Hq - 16.1 +/- 2.55 - mdx - 10.3 +/- 1.99 - Mo as recently reported (PNAS 81, 1189-92) although it now positions mdx close to Phk. (Bulfield and Isaacson) |
