| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Open eyelids (oe): This mutation arose spontaneously in inbred strain 129/RrDr. It behaves in a recessive manner with apparently complete penetrance. The animals are usually born with both eyes open (rarely only the left one may be affected), and at weaning age have small eyes with opaque corneas and are frequently blind. Outcrosses to C3HeB/Jax and BALB/c Jax produced all normal offspring. +pe X +oe produced a total of 83 offspring, 67 normal and 16 oeoe; oeoe X + oe 48 normals and 37 oeoe; and all oeoe were obtained from oeoe X oeoe. |
