| abstractText | Full text of MNL contribution: Research news: Histological investigation of 12 1/2 day embryos from matings of animals heterozygous for the lethal gene short jaw (symbol sj) have revealed no abnormalities distinguishing the homozygotes from the normal siblings. At 14 1/2 days edema and abnormalities of skeletal muscle primordia of mutant homozygotes are evident. No other abnormality is apparent. The designation of this mutation has been changed to fetal muscular degeneration (symbol fmd). |
