| abstractText | We represent genes in MGI as sequence objects that contain the genomic sequence between the start and end coordinate (without intron/exon boundaries). Annotated genome features from NCBI are downloaded and the file seq_gene.md is modified to include only sequence coordinates for C57BL/6J, features with UN or random chromosome assignment are excluded. All of the coordinates are listed from lowest to highest, the coordinate data will be dumped and reloaded with every new assembly of the mouse genome. |
