abstractText | Full text of Mouse Genome contribution: Research News: 1. Re-mutation to shaker-2 (sh-2). A re-mutation to shaker-2 (sh-2) on Chromosome 11 was found in the C57BL/Ks-db m colony. An "unknown phenotypic deviant" was sent to the Deviant Search Program of The Jackson Laboratory by Ms. Teri Yeggy and an allele test between this proven homozygote and a homozygous sh-2/sh-2 yielded all affected in a total of 12 progeny. The new mutant was thus named shaker-2J (sh-2J). The re-mutation was backcrossed twice to C57BL/6J. DNA has been preserved in TJL DNA Resource and a minimal number of embryos will be frozen in TJL Embryo Freezing Repository. The original mutation, sh-2, remains available as STOCK sh-2/+. (Susan A.
