Allele : Birc2<em1Haka> baculoviral IAP repeat-containing 2; endonuclease-mediated mutation 1, Hamid Kashkar

Primary Identifier  MGI:7560637 Allele Type  Endonuclease-mediated
Gene  Birc2 Strain of Origin  C57BL/6N
Is Recombinase  false Is Wild Type  false
description  This allele was generated at the same time as Birc3em1Haka.
molecularNote  CRISPR/Cas9 technology generated a 13-bp deletion leading to a frameshift that shortens the protein by three amino acids introducing a premature stop codon at position 610 (T602LfsTer7). This deletion was generated by simultaneously injecting C57BL/6N zygotes with two sgRNAs targeting Birc2 (5’-TCTGCAGGGGGACAATCAAG-3’) and Birc3 (5’-ATCTGTAGAGGGACCATCAA-3’) and was generated at the same time as the Birc3em1Haka allele.
