| abstractText | Links to UniGene from MGI are generated through a collaborative effort between the MGI staff and the NCBI UniGene staff. The creation of links involves several processes. UniGene uses GenBank sequences to generate a non-redundant set of mouse sequence clusters. These clusters are gene oriented, and some contain links to MGI markers. Links to MGI markers from UniGene are created based upon sequence ID-to-gene associations curated and stored in MGI. In turn, MGI creates links from MGI to UniGene clusters, based upon the shared sequence ID's. Please see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/UniGene/index.html for an explanation of the UniGene system. |
