Allele : Kitl<Sl-42R> kit ligand; steel 42 Oak Ridge

Primary Identifier  MGI:2445946 Allele Type  Chemically induced (ENU)
Gene  Kitl Inheritance Mode  Semidominant
Strain of Origin  101/Rl Is Recombinase  false
Is Wild Type  false
molecularNote  Nucleotide sequencing of Taq-generated RT-PCR products showed that this allele comprises a T-to-C transition. This eliminates exon 4 splice donor site G-GT by changing it to G-GA and produces an mRNA splicing defect through the use of a cryptic splice donor 8 bp downstream. There is little or no expression of wild-type mRNA.
