Enables calcium-dependent protein binding activity. Involved in flagellated sperm motility. Located in acrosomal vesicle and ciliary basal body. Is active in axonemal microtubule doublet inner sheath; ciliary base; and sperm flagellum. Is expressed in several structures, including nasal cavity respiratory epithelium; oviduct; respiratory system; spleen; and testis. Orthologous to human SPACA9 (sperm acrosome associated 9).
